I began my adventure into the world of baking and desserts of all kinds in hopes of fulfilling my insatiable love for all things sweet. My enthusiasm and passion for baking began several years ago and my desire to explore and master the art and science of baking seems to grow more and more each day. This blog has provided me an invaluable outlet and source for documenting my ongoing journey for discovering this sweet love of mine.
We live in Denver, Colorado (The Mile High City) which promotes great challenges with baking due to the high-altitude. The air is much thinner here than at sea level so I am constantly modifying recipes in order to keep them moist and prevent them from collapsing…trust me, this has been one of the biggest challenges for me and in no way have I perfected the skill! I consider this blog a reflection of my work in progress to becoming a skilled baker. My biggest success is when my final product comes out of the oven completely moist and delicious with just the right texture and flavor. In most of my posts, I will provide both the original recipe as well as any high-altitude modifications that I might have made along the way.
