We have a dear little friend and goddaughter named Audrey. It is a birthday tradition for me to bake and decorate a cake for her big celebration. Through the years, we have covered many fun party themes: Barbie, Fairy Garden, American Girl and so many more. This year the theme was PIRATE! All in all the birthday girl was pleased with the cake and the party was a success. The cake consisted of vanilla and lemon buttermilk layers with a filling of lemon curd and lemon mousse. The frosting was a Swiss Vanilla Buttercream tinted blue. It was quite delicious!
